The SCSU women’s hockey team earned a split with rival Minnesota State-Mankato this weekend at the NHEC. The Huskies fell 2-1 on Friday before winning 5-2 on Saturday night. 

Molli Mott scored the Huskies only goal on Friday night, and it gave SCSU a 1-0 lead through two periods of play. MSU scored two goals in the third period to take the win from St Cloud State. 

The Huskies dominated the Mavericks on Saturday night, jumping out to a 3-0 lead through one period. Haylea Schmid tallied four points for SCSU with two goals and two assists to lead the charge, while Molli Mott and Alex Nelson also charted multi-point games.
