The St. Cloud State women’s hockey team was swept by Wisconsin over the weekend at the brand-new La Bahn Arena in Madison. The Huskies fell by a final of 6-0 on Friday, followed by a 6-3 margin on Saturday. 

Wisconsin outshot SCSU 49-19 in the Friday contest, and the Badgers saw four players register multi-point nights. 

The Huskies bounced back Saturday night with three goals and led the Badgers 3-1 at one point in the game. Wisconsin rattled off five straight goals, including four in the third period, to take the 6-3 win and the sweep. 

Vanessa Spataro, Haylea Schmid and Audrey Hanmer each scored goals for the Huskies in the game on Saturday. 

SCSU is back in action at Lindenwood on Friday and Saturday.
