A 15-year-old St. Cloud resident was struck by a car while riding a bicycle Saturday evening. The collision occurred around 6:15 p.m. at the intersection of 12th Avenue North and 3rd Street North. The child was riding across the intersection when the driver of a tan 4-door vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign, hitting the child. Witnesses reported the driver getting out of his car and helping the child to the far side of the intersection before driving away westbound on 3rd Street North.

The child was taken to the St. Cloud hospital via ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. The driver is described as being in his early 30’s with short, brown hair, glasses and a goatee. The car was described as possibly being an Oldsmobile with a license plate including the numbers 645.
