ST. CLOUD, Minn. — Candidates Republican Sue Ek and DFL Zach Dorholt will debate live at KVSC on Tuesday, September 1, ahead of the November general election.

The hour-long debate will start at 6:30 p.m. and be moderated by KVSC News Director Shay Lelonek and St. Cloud LIVE reporter Lauren Breunig.

The event will broadcast on KVSC airwaves, and SCSU’s TV station UTVS will broadcast a video livestream of the debate for the public to watch and listen.

Members of the public can participate by submitting questions via an online form. Submitted questions will be screened and selected by moderators. Questions may be combined with questions curated by the moderators.

Ek and Dorholt will each be able to submit one question to the moderators that will be discussed during the debate, highlighting important issues facing House District 14B.

Debates between District 14A candidates Mike Conway and Abdi Daisane as well as Senate District 14 candidates Senator Aric Putnam and Rep. Bernie Perryman are also being planned for this fall. Announcements on those debates will be announced in the coming weeks.
