U.S. Senators Amy Klobuchar, Tina Smith and Representative Pete Stauber have announced that the Little Falls/Morrison County Airport will be receiving a total of $2.1 million for infrastructure improvements, thanks to the U.S. Department of Transportation.

The Little Falls/Morrison Country Airport is already planning on using the money awarded from the DOT, to construct a new runway.

“By investing in the Little Falls/Morrison County Airport, we are making an important investment in the economy of the region and enhancing public safety” Klobuchar said.

Smith added by saying, “Little Falls/Morrison County Airport is an economic driver for many local communities, and we need to make sure it’s infrastructure is up-to-date”.
