St. Cloud motorists are advised that the eastbound lanes of 2nd Street North between 7th Avenue and 9th Avenue will be closed Tuesday beginning at 9 a.m. The westbound lanes will be reduced to one lane to allow for eastbound traffic. Traffic will reopen on the east bound lane at 6 p.m. The temporary closure is necessary to remove a cooling unit from the basement of the Stearns County Law Enforcement Center.

Motorists are encouraged to seek alternative routes if possible, and to slow down and drive carefully. If bad weather prevents the lane closure it will be moved to Wednesday.
