The First Amendment Forum is set to take place on Friday at St. Cloud State University for the 38th straight year. The event takes place from 9 A.M. until 3:30 P.M in the Atwood Little Theatre with a topic of “Is Journalism Safe? –Lives, Jobs, Ideals.” The First Amendment Forum will examine how reporters cover crises…and the stress and dangers involved in covering these events. Speakers include Karl Vick, a reporter from the Washington Post and Greg Dobbs of the HDNet World Report. The event is being put on by the SCSU Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists with support and help from a variety of other outlets.
