ST. CLOUD, Minn. – A 6-year-old and 10-year-old child were taken to Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis after being hit by a vehicle in a crosswalk in St. Cloud.

Around 4:48 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21st, St. Cloud Police Department (SCPD) officers responded to a report of a crash with injuries at the intersection of 15th Avenue Southeast and University Drive Southeast.

Upon arrival, officers determined that a vehicle driven by 56-year-old Nancy Thelen failed to yield to pedestrians in a crosswalk and hit the two children and an adult.

The 6-year-old was flown to Children’s Hospital, and the 10-year-old was taken via ground ambulance.

The St. Cloud Police Department says the children suffered substantial but non-life-threatening injuries.

The adult was not transported to the hospital and is OK.
