ST. CLOUD, Minn. — Two St. Cloud Police Department officers are recovering after their vehicles collided while responding to an emergency call.

Around 5:44 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, the two officers were driving to the city’s south side, when their vehicles collided in the intersection of 12th Avenue South and Highway 23, near Lake George.

The officers involved in the crash were transported to the St. Cloud Hospital by Mayo Ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries, according to a media release.

After the crash, the intersection was closed for a “period of time” with a large police presence. The crash remains under investigation by the MN State Patrol.
