There will soon be 57 fewer people employed by St. Cloud State University according to the SCSU Human Resources Department. 40 of the eliminated positions are a result of retirements, transfers, resignations, and previously vacant positions.
 

Of the 17 campus employees losing their jobs, 11 of them are faculty members. SCSU Vice President for Administrative Affairs Steve Ludwig says all 11 faculty members are under fixed-term contracts that are expiring and the university is simply not renewing them. The other six layoffs include two administrators, two fundraisers, one professional employee, and one maintenance or office employee.
