Archived: $6.15 Million Shoemaker Hall Renovation Comes to a Close

St. Cloud State University’s Residential Life and the Department of Facilities Management announced that the renovation of the north wing of Shoemaker Hall is coming to a close.

The $6.15 million project is scheduled for completion on Aug. 18. The renovation included a complete demolition of the lower level and installation of a new elevator tower. The remaining renovations included a number of general upgrades including the entire ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems and safety and design overhauls.

JLG Architects of Alexandria served as the design team, Terra Contractors served as construction manager and another 12 local subcontractors were hired for various aspects of the project.

Fall semester begins on Monday, August 22 at SCSU, with students moving into residence halls on from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 20.
