You may have heard of Lollapalooza but what about History Day Palooza? St. Cloud State University is helping area students with history research during the History Day Palooza event on January 28th.

History Day Palooza will be in the James W. Miller Learning Resources Center at SCSU. SCSU History Day staff along with the Central Minnesota Libraries Exchange will provide training on library resources and research topics for area students who are working on their National History Day 2012 projects. Students will learn about the resources necessary for history research. History Day staff and Librarians will help students find books, articles and other resources in the Miller Center. Students will also be introduced the “Minnesota Reflections” which is a growing collection of more the 85,000 digital copies of historical treasures from Minnesota.

History Day Palooza takes place from 9 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. Teachers should register their students; however, students may register themselves. Registration must include any adults who plan to accompany the students. The registration deadline is January 25th. Space is limited, so register soon.
