Archived: SCSU Senior Is Given Posthumous Degree
St. Cloud State University will be awarding the family of a student who died earlier this spring a posthumous degree. The family of Jessica Harapan will be awarded the degree in a remembrance event held this Friday. Harapan was a senior pursuing a double major in communications studies and business management; she passed away as a result of a car crash on May 23.
Jessica was described as an active student who often volunteered on cultural nights and served on her residence hall community council. President Earl Potter and other SCSU officials, students and Jessica’s family ask the public to join them Friday at 4:30 p.m. at the SCSU Welcome Center as they remember her.
