A 2-year-old boy who went missing has been found safe. Benton County Sheriff Brad Bennett says the boy was reported missing by his parents from his home just after 5:45 p.m. Monday night.

Ann and Zachary Swenson, who live on 5th Street in Glendorado Township called to say the toddler had been missing for about 45 minutes, and the caller believed he went into the cornfield next to the home.

Benton County Deputies along with the Foley and Princeton fire departments arrived on the scene and began searching for the missing child. Just before 6:45 p.m. the boy was located by the Benton K-9 unit, in the cornfield about a half mile away from the home. The Sherriff said the child was not injured.
