St. Cloud State students are mourning the death of Biochemistry major Rebecca “Becky” Ann Ihlenfeldt of Sauk Rapids. Better known as the “Happy Subway Girl” at SCSU, Ihlenfeldt died last Friday at age 34.

Ihlenfeldt was known for making just about anyone’s day brighter—so much so, she even had a fan page on Facebook.

One former SCSU student, Charlie Vanderweyst posted on the “Super Happy SCSU Subway Girl” Facebook page “It’s amazing to hear how one lady made so many peoples day.”

Services will be held from 4-6 p.m. at Munsinger Gardens Special Events Area in St. Cloud. Arrangements are entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids.
