A 16-year-old girl from Clearwater received substantial injuries after a hit-and-run involving a pickup truck at around 9 p.m. Monday. The girl has been released from the hospital.

A police investigation at the St. Cloud Hospital revealed the girl was hit by a pickup truck while walking along 25th Street Southeast near the intersection of 14½ Avenue Southeast in St. Cloud. The truck continued on without stopping.

The pickup truck was described as a smaller Dodge single-cab with a white Dodge decal on the tailgate, loud exhaust and a missing driver’s side mirror. The driver was described as a white man with a shaved head between the ages of 20 to 40.
