Archived: Public Health Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are needed on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at the Zimmerman High School for a public health exercise conducted by the Public Health Division of Stearns County Human Services. Adults are needed from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM to test plans of distributing medication in the event of a large scale disease outbreak. In this drill the volunteer will receive “mock” medicine for their entire household. The exercise is to see how quickly staff can distribute medication to hundreds of people in a short time.

The first two hundred people will receive a gas or food gift card after the drill in appreciation. Registration information and complete details can soon be found at KVSC.org under the “news” tab.
