Stearns County is the first in the state to allow its homeowners to receive property tax statements via email. About 70,000 statements are mailed at tax time from Stearns County every year. The new delivery method should result in faster delivery and reduced mailing costs and make it easier for taxpayers to store their statements. Those who sign up to receive their statements by email before March 1, 2011 will receive this year’s statements by email; otherwise they will receive them in future years.  to sign up go to www.co.stearns.mn.us and complete the online form.
