Archived: More Snow, Then Cold Weekend

A new report from SCSU Professor Bob Weisman says we may have more wintry weather ahead. The snow hasn’t been falling in large batches, but already St. Cloud has received 5.8 inches in January, more than half way to the average monthly total of 10.7 inches. Weisman says there will be a chance of St. Cloud getting accumulated snow Friday in the afternoon to early evening and look for an inch or two of possible snow. According to the latest forecasts the Friday storm is intensifying as it moves into the Great Lakes, though it doesn’t look as strong as it did earlier in the week. Weisman also said the temperature is expected to drop back to single digits above zero and possibly zero by Saturday.
