Archived: St. Cloud Woman Injured in 3 Car Crash

A three car crash near the SCSU campus Tuesday resulted in a hospital visit by a 55-year-old St. Cloud woman. The crash happened on University Drive and 5th Avenue South in St. Cloud. Police say 22-year-old Krystal Morin was driving east on University when a pedestrian ran south on 5th, across University in front of Morin, causing her to hit her brakes and stop in the intersection. Morin was then rear-ended by a second car driven by 55-year-old Sharon Loranger of St. Cloud, who was unable to stop behind Morin. The third car in line was driven by 27-year-old Briana Worms of Melrose. Police say she hit her brakes to stop behind the other two cars but slid on the snow and ice, striking Loranger’s car from behind and pushing her car into the back of Morin’s car. Loranger suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital. There were no other injuries reported.
