A St. Cloud State geography professor published a textbook called Geography of Russia and its Neighbors.  Dr. Mikhail Blinnikov, a native of Moscow did extensive traveling in post-Soviet Eurasia. His book introduces physical, cultural, political, and economic changes in post-Soviet Eurasia.
Blinnikov teaches Geography of Russia, biogeography, intro to global geography, as well as other courses.   He also coordinates the geography graduate program and has even led study abroad tours in Russia.   SCSU’s Department of Geography is one of the three oldest programs on campus, and represents expertise in geographical information systems, travel and tourism.
