On Friday a St. Cloud man was hit by a distracted driver while crossing the street, police say. According to police, a forty-eight year old St. Cloud man was crossing 3rd street North when a car hit him. Police say that car was driven by thirty year old John Thomas Berger of St. Cloud. Berger told police he did not see the pedestrian before hitting him. The victim was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital Emergency Room to be treated for non life threatening injuries, and Berger was cited for inattentive driving.
