Dementia will be a popular topic Friday at St. Cloud State. Two nationally known experts on dementia will give a free presentation. One of the speakers has been living with Alzheimer’s since 2001. Richard Taylor, of Cypress, Texas, is the author of “Alzheimer’s from the Inside Out,” a collection of essays that chronicle how he coped with the diagnosis of the disease. The other speaker, G. Allen Power, is a professor of medicine at the University of Rochester in New York. He is also the author of the book: “Dementia Beyond Drugs: Changing the Culture of Care.” The free event takes place at 3:00 pm Friday in the Atwood Memorial Center Theater.
