More than 1,500 Xcel Energy customers in St. Cloud lost power for at least 11 minutes Tuesday morning. The outage was centered on downtown St. Cloud and St. Cloud State University, according to Xcel Energy. 1,685 customers were without power from 9:45 to 9:56 am. The outage happened while Xcel Energy crews were relocating power lines south of the National Hockey Center, according to SCSU Buildings and Grounds. Certain areas of campus, like the parking ramp and the Hockey Center, took longer to restore power.
