The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office says it has found the suspect in a string of burglaries and thefts from properties in eight different counties. The Sheriff’s Office arrested 36-year-old Shawn Thompson of Zimmerman earlier this week in connection to a burglary in Aitkin County. Investigators say Thompson admitted his involvement in the burglary, and told investigators about his connection to burglaries and thefts in the counties of Sherburne, Wright, Isanti, Mille Lacs, Crow Wing, Hennepin, as well as Wisconsin’s Polk County.

The Sheriff’s Office says Thompson surrendered stolen items, such as a water fountain taken from the Fairway Shores Golf Course in Zimmerman, lawn tractors, and a boat motor. Thompson was arrested for burglary, theft, possession of stolen property, and terroristic threats. He’s being held on a $100,000 unconditional bail or $25,000 conditional bail.
