Archived: St. Cloud Man Arrested for Alleged Assault of Officer
A St. Cloud man was arrested early Tuesday morning after allegedly head-butting a police officer. The assault took place after police were called to a Holiday gas station on Highway 10 South on a report of two drunken men at the store.
When officers attempted to identify the suspects, Mark Julian Kalenze attempted to flee on foot, according to St. Cloud Police. Kalenze was immediately caught and arrested for obstructing the legal process. While officers tried to place Kalenze into the rear of a squad car, he head-butted one officer.
Kalenze was taken to Benton County Jail on charges of 4th degree assault on a police officer and obstructing the legal process.
