80 St. Cloud soldiers will soon deploy for a year of service. Soldiers of the St. Cloud-based Company B, 2nd General Support Aviation Battalion will serve in Iraq in support of Operation New Dawn, the drawdown phase of US military operations in Iraq. In late November, the troops will travel to Fort Hood, Texas, for about two months of pre-deployment training before their 10 month deployment to Iraq. This is the second deployment for Company B.
