St. Cloud Police are trying to find a man they say robbed a woman on the street near St. Cloud State. It happened at around 11:00 Thursday night on the 500 block of 7th Avenue South. Police say a 23-year-old St. Cloud woman was walking home when she was approached by a man who demanded her purse and cell phone, threatened to hurt her, and showed her his gun. After the woman gave the suspect the items requested, police say he ran away, heading eastbound on 5th Street. The suspect is described as a 6’3" black man in his mid-20’s who weighs more than 200 lbs. He was wearing blue basketball shorts, long-sleeved blue zip up shirt with a white t-shirt underneath at the time of the incident.
