A 19-year-old Little Falls man drowned while wading with two other men below the Platte River Dam. 19-year-old Alexander Kokett stepped off the edge of a drop off Saturday and was swept away by the current. The Morrison County sheriff’s office says in a news release Sunday that Kokett went under before the other men would reach him. A dive team later recovered the body in 13 feet of water. Kokett had been under water for about 40 minutes and paramedics were unable to revive him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy is pending.
