St. Cloud drivers have one week left to enjoy the free downtown parking program. In a 4-3 vote, the St. Cloud City Council rejected a request to extend the two-hour free parking program until August 31st. Since June of last year, St. Cloud drivers have been allowed to park their cars on downtown streets for up to two hours for free. The trial program was intended to help downtown business traffic during last summer’s heavy construction season. The parking meters will go back into service on July 1st.
