Archived: St. Cloud Metro Bus to Receive Four New Buses
St. Cloud Metro Bus will receive four state-of-the-art buses at an event Wednesday morning. New Flyer will formally present St. Cloud Metropolitan Transit Commission with its new buses at 9:05 am in the parking lot of the American Heritage National Bank on 2nd Street in St. Cloud. New Flyer Spokesperson Amy Miller says the new buses will turn some heads in central Minnesota.
"The buses are a very new look for the city. They’re a much more upgraded lok than they’ve had in the past. They’ve got new styling and some new continuous windows. But I think more importantly is the feeling of home town pride. They’re built by the people of St. Cloud, and it’s very important to them that their local citizens are actually building buses for the community to ride on," said Miller.
Michele Bachmann, Al Franken, and Amy Klobachar will all have representatives from their offices at the event. St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis will also be on hand.
