Archived: Stearns History Museum to Host Pan Barbecue Fundraiser

The Stearns History Museum will be hosting a Pan Barbecue fundraiser on Saturday from 11 am until 3 pm. The event will feature a pig roast, beer garden, children’s games and music from Max and the Good Ol’ Boys.  In addition, the event will feature a display of antique cars from the St. Cloud Antique Auto Club, including Pan Automobiles.

The picnic commemorates the barbecue Sam Pandolfo hosted to in 1917 to raise funds for his automobile plant. Pandolfo’s plant produced approximately 750 cars before it was shut down in 1919 when he was sent to prison for mail fraud.
Funds raised at the barbecue will be used for a new heating/ventilation system for the museum. Tickets are available at the Stearns History Museum, or by phone at 320-253-8424.
