The unemployment rate in the St. Cloud area fell for the fourth month in a row, and is the lowest it has been in one year. According to the State Department of Employment and Economic Development, the unemployment rate for October was 6.6 percent, down from 7.0 percent in September. The St. Cloud area’s unemployment rate in June was 8.3 percent, making for an impressive four month drop of 1.7 percent.
But there’s still work to be done. The St. Cloud area’s current unemployment rate of 6.6 percent is still 1.3 percent higher than it was one year ago.
