The Saint Cloud State Men’s Basketball team is still dancing this week after beating MSU-Mankato and advancing to the Central Region Championship game on Tuesday. Saint Cloud upended Metro State in the first round and with the victory over Mankato in the semi-finals; they will take on Augustana in the Sweet 16.

The win over NSIC league champion Mankato means Saint Cloud will make their fifth appearance in a regional championship in school history, while the school has not won the region since 1987.

This Husky team now has a couple more records to boot: most wins in a post season with 5 and a school record for wins with 27.

Saint Cloud takes on Augustana on Tuesday night at 7 pm at the Taylor Center in Mankato. The Huskies spilt the two regular season meetings with the Vikings and will look to advance to the Elite 8 for just the second time in school history.
