The SCSU Husky football squad bounced back from last week’s loss at Winona State by defeating the University of Mary 45-24 Saturday in Bismarck, ND.

Eight different Huskies combined for 354 yards rushing and scored six touchdowns on the ground. Dante Steward led the way for St. Cloud State by gaining 134 yards on 16 carries with one touchdown. 

Michael Walker also surpassed the century mark with 101 yards rushing, while Brandon Geiss ran for 87 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the victory. 

The win improves the Huskies record to 3-1 (2-1 NSIC), while the Marauders fall to 2-2 (1-2 NSIC). 

St. Cloud State is back in action this Saturday with a home game against Northern State. KVSC will have live coverage of the game, beginning with a pregame show at 3:40 PM. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 PM at Husky Stadium. Dave Overlund will be in the booth with Nyounee Neor providing color commentary and Steve Harmon providing interviews and insight from the sideline.
