A truck ran a red light last night causing an accident off of Highway 10 in Elk River.

Sherburne County Police say 40-year-old Lisa Marie Sommers of Zimmerman was headed east on Highway 10 when she took a left turn and ran a red light. Susan Elizabeth Scott was headed west on Highway 10 on her motorcycle when Sommers turned out in front of her, causing her to T-bone Sommers truck.

Scott was thrown off her motorcycle and landed on the hood of Sommers truck. She was taken to Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids for her non-life threatening injuries.

Sommers was found with alcohol in her system.
