Set 1 was a dominant one for the Huskies. Emery Thury came out of the gate for the Huskies early on and seemed to bring a ton of energy to the outside hitter position, with tons of strikes that were difficult for the Dragons to receive. It was also one of the better offensive performances for St. Cloud state offensively as not only did they take set 1, but they took it with a hitting percentage of .364

Set 2 was closer than set 1. MSU Moorhead’s Ava Wild would play a key role offensively, giving the Dragons an 11-14 lead at one point in the set. However, Carlie Willis and Kinsey Mohwinkle’s strikes would prove to be too much for the Dragons to hold onto the lead. The Huskies would end up stealing set 2, 25 to 22

In set 3, Alexis Heinle would seal the game for St. Cloud State by finding an opening in the defense and smashing it through. This strike would be assisted by Braya Laplant, who ended up with 47 assists on the night
