Early Saturday morning, the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop an ATV driving recklessly on County Road two.

According to the Sheriff’s report, 31-year-old Brian Donald Klein of St. Stephen was driving 54 miles per hour on an ATV on the County Road when deputies attempted to pull him over. Klein immediately pulled into his drive-way and pulled around the side of a detached garage. When deputies checked the area, they found that Klein had driven the ATV off a retaining wall. Klein was found pinned by the ATV with injuries.

Deputies began administering first aid, and upon arrival of Gold Cross Ambulance, Klein was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital Emergency Room. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in this accident.

The accident remains under investigation.
