The Central Minnesota Arts Board has recently awarded Small Capital Arts Grants to six area nonprofit arts organizations and to three area schools at their June 2013 meeting.

$17,409.00 in grants were awarded to nonprofit arts organizations. These grants provide funds of up to $3500 with a 15% match requirement to purchase equipment, related non-consumable supplies and services to make capital improvements. Of the six non profit organizations, the Chamber Music Society of St. Cloud, the GREAT Theater, the Paramount Arts Resource Trust, the St. Cloud Municipal Band, Visual Arts Minnesota all received grants.

$7,722 in grants were awarded to area schools. These grants provide funds of up to $3500 with 50% match requirement to public schools for the purchase of non-consumable capital resources used for arts programming. The Area Learning Center of St. Cloud was one of the three schools to receive the grant.
