SCSU will host guest presenter Miki Kaneda, a Mellon C-MAP Fellow in the Department of Painting and Sculpture at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. She will discuss the issues and questions that arise in performing works that use new media.

Compared to music that is written out as scores, any “new media” pieces that involve electronics or actions age fast. Her discussion will use the recent performances that took place at the Museum of Modern Art.
