On Wednesday night St. Cloud Police were called to 2nd Street South near 29th Avenue South for an accident with injuries. A police investigation revealed that 26-year-old Adam Charles Ramsey from St. Cloud had been looking at his cell phone and did not see the vehicle in front of him slow down with traffic. Both drivers were headed East on 2nd Street south.

Ramsey was treated on scene by Gold Cross for minor injuries and a passenger from Ramsey’s vehicle, 25-year-old Aletha Rose Hartley from St. Cloud was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the second vehicle, 61-year-old Irene Phyllis Diedrish from St. Cloud reported no injuries at the time of the accident. The cars were towed at the scene and Ramsey was cited for inattentive driving and for having an expired driver’s license.

The St. Cloud Police Department was assisted by the St. Cloud Fire Department and Gold Cross Ambulance.
