On Friday around 7 p.m. the Stearns County Sheriff’s office was called to Little Cedar Island Lake in Wakefield Township for a report of a body floating in the water.

Officers pulled the body of 71-year-old Connie Ann Kottke of Buffalo Lake from the water and performed CPR. Rescuers were unable to revive Kottke and she was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is still under investigation. Her body was taken to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office.
