Archived: Flash Flood Watch For Central Minnesota
A flash flood watch continues for most of central and northeastern Minnesota until Wednesday afternoon. Thunderstorms did clear up this morning but will redevelop in the mid to late afternoon and possibility into the evening hours. These storms could produce large hail, damaging winds and perhaps a tornado in central Minnesota.
It is a possibility that these storms could develop to our North but we will be very close to these storms. Make sure to keep up local watches and warnings in central Minnesota this afternoon. The combined rainfall from these storms could be from one to two inches with some areas getting as much as three to five inches. That combined with already high river levels and wet grounds could create local flooding.
