Early this morning St. Cloud Police were called to the 700 block of 17th Avenue South for an attempted burglary in progress. The suspects had attempted to gain entry by cutting a screen to open a ground level window and were interrupted by a resident who was home at the time.

Officers searched the area for a suspect vehicle and eventually found the suspects in a vehicle at 9th Avenue and University Drive South. 21-year-old John Thomas Paciorek of St. Cloud and 20-year-old Derrick John Tacker of Clear Lake were arrested and transported to the Stearns County Jail where they are being held for attempted 1st degree burglary.Paciorek was also charged with possession of burglary tools.
