Archived: SCSU Launches Program For Young Student-Parents
Pregnant and parenting college students have a new one-stop support shop at SCSU. The Young Student Parent Support Initiative helps parenting students around ages 18 to 25 achieve their higher education goals and maintain the well-being of themselves and their children.
The Young Student Parent Initiative coordinator Amanda Toppe says that “this program is for student parents, so they need to let us/me know what they are looking for and what can help them be more successful. This is also a way for them to connect with other student parents and people that are facing the same types of struggles. The support group will be a safe place for them to share stories and get feedback from other student parents.”
For more information about the program you can call Amanda at 320-308-3246 or email her at altoppe@stcloudstate.edu.
