Memorial Day is this Monday, May 28, and the Minnesota Department of Veteran Affairs is sponsoring events throughout the state to help celebrate and remember those who have died in service to our nation.

The State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls will host their annual Memorial Service on Sunday, a day before Memorial Day. The keynote speaker at the event is the Adjutant General of the Minnesota National Guard, Major General Richard Nash. The event will also feature music from the Richfield Symphonic Band, and Water into Wine.

Other events will take place at the five Minnestoa Veterans Homes in Fergus Falls, Hastings, Minneapolis, Silver Bay, and Luverne. For more information on all of these events please visit the MDVA website.
