Starting on Tuesday May 8th 1st Avenue South from 8th Street South to 11th Street South on campus will be closed to through traffic due to road construction. The construction is a public improvement project to reconstruct public utilities and the street. If weather is permitting the closure will be expected to last until mid-August.

A detour for through traffic will not be posted. Sidewalk s adjacent to the construction site will be closed as well.

Local neighborhood traffic is asked to find an alternate route that does not cross this part of 1st Avenue South.
