On Saturday night St. Cloud Police attempted to stop a motorcycle when the driver continued traveling and increased speed. At 6:30 p.m. officers attempted the traffic stop at Lincoln Avenue and St. Germain Street East. Officers were in a marked squad car and the motorcycle continued to travel east on St. Germain Street East.

Officers then started a pursuit by activating their sirens when the motorcycle increased speed and traveled north on Mayhew Lake Road. During the pursuit the motorcycle committed multiple traffic violations including speeding, failure to yield right of way and a stop sign violation.

The pursuit ended due to wet conditions and the motorcyclist evading police at a high rate of speed. Anyone with information about this chase is asked to contact St. Cloud Police at 320-251-1200.
