The Benton County Sheriff’s Office is collecting unwanted prescription drugs for proper disposal.
The Sherrif’s Office, along with the Sauk Rapids and Rice police, as well as the Drug Enforcement Administration conducted a drug take-back program on Saturday. They held collection points in Foley, Sauk Rapids, and Rice, where they were kept busy with folks taking advantage of the program.
A total of 140 pounds of pharmaceuticals were collected and taken for environmentally-friendly disposal. The program would like to thank everyone who helped do their part to ensure these medications were disposed of properly.
