A Willmar man is in jail after allegedly hitting another man in the head following a court hearing. 32-year-old Shawn Richard Skinner was in a court hearing for a harassment restraining order, which was determining whether the order should be issued. The judge dismissed the order and adjourned the hearing.

Skinner got up and walked over to the other man involved in the hearing and allegedly punched him in the head twice. A bailiff intervened and eventually used a Tazer on Skinner to subdue him. Skinner is being held in the Stearns County Jail on charges of 5th degree assault and disorderly conduct. He is being held in jail pending a court hearing on the criminal charges.
